2012 Stories and Memories

Today I will push harder than yesterday and set new standards for myself as I remember those who set new standards for the rest of the world on 9/11/01. I will remember those who finished their shifts and turned back into a white clouded mess to save others, or anyone, knowing full well what they were likely to be leaving behind...and I will do a few more reps. I will remember those who were scared To endure what occured, but had no choice other than to fight...and I will be thankful that I can choose to create a better me, AND DO IT! I will remember all those who had enough faith in salvaging life to spend countless hours of their time at ground zero during the aftermath...and will be patient in my quest to create my ideal self, and maintain focus on my vision.

THANK YOU, UNCLE CHUCK, AND EVERYONE WHO DISPLAYED SUCH BRAVERY ON THAT DAY AND DAYS TO FOLLOW. YOU INSPIRE ME TO GIVE MORE OF MYSELF IN EVERYTHING I DO.

 Chuck,

This day and every day are challenges for our whole family. I know how proud you must be of all of us for making sure our loss never threatened our family structure. We love each other deeper and stronger with each year that passes, because we know you are STILL with us.

I can feel you with me...I talk to you. I do my best to make YOU proud. When I am not sure if I have done all I can do, I ask myself what you would do. I hope it's enough.

I miss you terribly.

 I just had the honor of visiting the 9 11 Memorial site with my wife, Julie Evans, Brown 79. I was humbled by the tribute and proud to see Charlie's name imprinted on the memorial. Charlie was a one of a kind special guy who I think we all knew would do something big with his life. He gave that life so others could live. A true hero. His memory will last in my mind until we all meet for that big Brown Re-Union.
