 On Island, a day for healing and reflecting
Thousands, including students, observe 9/11 anniversary in varied ways

For thousands on Staten Island, the second anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, was a day of reflection and healing.

HE WAS MOVIE STUNTMAN
In New Dorp, LT. CHARLES "CHUCK" MARGIOTTA was remembered as a football player, a movie stuntman, a good Samaritan, a great friend and a loving son, husband and father.

Now, when the firefighters of Ladder Co. 85 climb aboard their rig to make a run, they will recall their fallen comrade and what he meant to the firehouse.

With proud family, friends and fellow firefighters looking on, the year-old truck that bears the nickname "Monster Truck" was dedicated to the hero firefighter.
