Daughter's eulogy proves corage was handed down to hero's family
As a New York City firefighter for the last eight years, I have had the privelage of witnessing numerous acts of courage by both uniform service personnel and civilians alike. On Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at St. Rita's Church, I again had the honor of witnessing an act of courage.
This time it was by Norma Jean Margiotta, daughter of Lt. Charles "Chuck" Margiotta, who eulogized her father.
Just when I said to myself, there is no way I could shed another tear after hearing numerous friends and family speak about Chuck, Norma Jean proved me wrong. Norma Jean's eulogy of her father proved to me that Chuck's heroism and courage was handed down to his family. God bless the Margiotta family.
